Learn to Play the Fiddle!
Group Lessons
Joe Jewett is launching group fiddle instruction in Butte, Montana. All ages and abilities welcome -- from beginners to intermediate. Instruments are available to play in class and take home rental. The fiddle class will be held at the Clark Chateau on Tuesdays from 4 - 5 PM.
Individual Instruction
Joe teaches Irish and Celtic fiddling through the aural method of call and response. Fiddle students learn tunes in music lessons by listening and repeating. They are also encouraged to attend sessions and festivals, to learn from other violin, viola, fiddle, and cello players. Joe's former students, such as Katie McNally and Chris Overholser, have become internationally recognized fiddlers.
